I am an 18 year old white pre-everything transman (however flaming I may be). I was kicked out of my parents’ house in late August and have been couch surfing since, and my current place just expired and I have 0 other options right now. I’m posting this on 11/4/12 and as of writing I’m going to be homeless until I find somewhere else to stay. 

I’m hoping for a place a little more long term, but anything helps, from a week at a time or more, anything is better than a sidewalk. I can’t pay rent because my back problems and my social anxiety keep me from working but I can do housework and whatnot to the best of my ability. I have mild IBS that makes it hard for me to eat a variety of food but I’m fine with ramen and other cheap foods, and I can contribute to the cost of that and other expenses depending on my payment from my internet jobs. I smoke [outdoors] so smoking friendly please.

Hey everyone,

My followers are probably aware, but for anyone who isn’t, I’ve been house-hopping since I left my parents’ house at the end of August. The people I’m staying with now need me out by TOMORROW, Sunday the 4th, or they’re going to get in trouble with their landlord, and I have absolutely /nowhere/ to go. I can put most of my stuff at a friends’ house, but I need somewhere for myself and my necessities. Temporary is fine, long term is better, a lineup of temporary would be great, until Eevee and I can find somewhere more permanent together.

If I can’t find somewhere by tomorrow I’ll be sleeping on sidewalks and under bridges, and I’d like to avoid that. I am in the Seattle area (close to downtown is doable, eastside is better), so please, message me if you can help, or if you know someone who can help ask them to message me, and spread this like wildfire. 

I also have a chipin set up if you would like to donate towards the general cause; food, motels, hygiene stuff, anything like that.

Until today, I thought I had found a safe place to stay while I searched for a job in New York City. I had been staying with my best friend, but as of today, I have been kicked out of his apartment by his housemate—my best friend is only a subletter, so he has to obey whatever the actual tenant says regarding guests.

Unless I find a new place to go, I will be forced out of my aunt’s apartment tomorrow and made to go back to my mother’s apartment. My relatives are very poor and cannot house me, and my mother’s abuse is the reason why I have PTSD. Staying by my mother’s house makes me dissociative, suicidal and unable to search for jobs.

I have already tried to contact people through the Trans Housing Network, which resulted in either no response or an affirmative response followed by retracting of that offer. I need a safe place to stay until I have a job and my own apartment. I can cook for myself and can pay to feed myself. I am good at washing dishes and organizing things. I just really need a safe place from which to search for jobs and apartments.

Since I am not certain of what internet access I will have over the next day, please send housing offers to my partner, lunasspecto. Do not contact him unless you are offering a couch or an air mattress to me.

I am moving to Providence, RI as soon as I find a place. I will be going to school at MTTI for motorcycle and small engine repair.  I haven’t really found any room ads that are specifically queer/gay/lgbt friendly and definitely not explicitly trans friendly. One ad stated the house was merely LGB friendly with no mention as to why the T was very intentionally left out. 

I am a trans young man and very queer. I am 22 next month, have no pets, don’t drink, and simply ask that a house has queer and/or trans residents also.

So, I’m trying to get back up to Santa Rosa, and so far I haven’t really had much chance to go room hunting, since I’ve been stuck housesitting all summer and have honestly had no idea if I’ll even be able to get back to school; lately it’s become obvious that it’s going to be possible, but…I don’t have a place to go. I’ve been searching, but I have yet to find a single offering that I feel even remotely safe about.

Those of you who have been following me for a while know who and what I am, but just in case someone’s nice enough to signal boost this for me: I’m a 23-year old trans man, about as queer as a 3-dollar bill, currently a full-time student (aerospace engineering/astrophysics double-major) at SRJC. I’m a vegan; I’m not the least bit offended by meat or other animal products being around, though I suspect I may be slightly allergic to fish (even if so, it’s only going to make me slightly uncomfortable, so it’s not a big problem). I like to cook; I’ll be more than happy to share some of what I make when I’m around (though I’m going to be in class until 8:30 pm at the earliest Monday through Thursday this semester; it’s going to be a little difficult for me to find time to cook at all - but I’ll be happy to on weekends). I don’t drive (yet), but I know the bus system well and am pretty good at negotiating ridesharing possibilities with classmates to get home from my later classes.

I don’t party, I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, and I don’t use drugs (besides those prescribed to me, as directed, but that hardly counts - the point is I’m not going to do anything to get you in trouble). I’m friendly, but I do my best to respect personal space. I have a little trouble with organization, but I’m working at improving.

HAVE COUCH—ATHENS, OHIO

I’m a bi cis woman with two cis gay roommates in Athens, Ohio (anyone from southeastern Ohio or nearby West Virginia is welcome!). We have a house with a small spare room where someone could crash for a few weeks. We’re a fairly quiet household, but young, open-minded, and like hanging with friends; we’re here to help, and I’ll do all I can to make you feel like part of the family!

We’re close to the middle to town, so it’s an easy walk to the main drag, grocery store, university, etc. There’s also an easy (if limited) bus system, and I also drive to work in Glouster and can carpool with you anywhere on the way.

We usually fend for ourselves with food in the kitchen, but sometimes we do meals together too. If you’d like, I can help hook you up with resources for food and free meals in the community, which I’m pretty familiar with.

The house is not wheelchair accessible, unfortunately, with steps to the front and back door; if you need a place to stay and this is a concern for you, I would be willing to try and find a solution.
